A less pithy, but also less intimidating and more informative, alternative might be “Develop talents that make you unique, and then use those talents”.

  1. My take on this quote is to “Let others do what they can do, whether better or not.” It has become my anti-procrastination mantra, keeping me from doing what I want to do — what’s easy to do — rather than what I need to do.
