My partner and I took up dancing recently (rhumba, waltz, jive, etc), and it’s been great fun. The music varies quite a bit, but never more so than in last night’s first choice of song, that well-known piece of music for progressive dance, AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”.

Having met my wife through ballroom dancing, I must say it has been a very positive experience for me. Waltz and cha-cha are perhaps my favorites from standard and latin, respectively, although tango is also fun. East Coast Swing is also an excellent dance, although it’s not considered “ballroom”. It’s very versatile, is easy to learn, and is quite impressive visually, especially once you learn some dips and aerials.
By the way, you can cha-cha to Madonna, although I’m not advocating this.
Suh-weet!!!! Nothing like a bit ‘o’ acadaca.
Nice to hear the dancing is going well. I think I only lasted two lessons…
