The book isn&#8217;t online, but there is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.physics.uq.edu.au\/people\/pope\/mckenzie.html\">nice review<\/a> by Ross McKenzie, of the University of Queensland.<\/p>\n<p>John Wilkins of Ohio State University has assembled a set of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.physics.ohio-state.edu\/~wilkins\/onepage\/\">one page guides<\/a> to various research skills.<\/p>\n<p>David Mermin of Cornell has written a lovely essay on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lassp.cornell.edu\/~cew2\/KnightLecture.html\">Writing Physics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Economist Paul Krugman, of Princeton, has written two informative essays about doing research, from somewhat different points of view, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wws.princeton.edu\/~pkrugman\/howiwork.html\">How I work<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wws.princeton.edu\/~pkrugman\/incidents.html\">Incidents from my career<\/a>.
