This post is a collection of some of the more useful links I&#8217;ve found.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.oreillynet.com\/foocamp07\/\">Foo Camp 2007<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>The wiki for Foo Camp 2007.  Great prototype if you&#8217;re thinking of running an event.  Note that wikis for previous (and presumably future) Foo Camps are linked at the bottom of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Unconference\">Wikipedia: Unconference<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>The article is a bit disorganized (as at 29 Feb 2008), but the links at the bottom on participation methodologies are stimulating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.openspaceworld.org\/\">openspaceworld.org<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Open Space is a methodology for running meetings closely related to unconferences.  It&#8217;s a bit more venerable, and has a different (though overlapping) community associated to it.  This website is a clearinghouse of ideas on Open Space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.openingspace.net\/gallery\/agora.cgi?cart_id=6226101.32435*bA5a57&#038;xm=on&#038;product=Anatomy_of_an_Open_Space_Event\">Anatomy of an Open Space Event<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Pictorial account of Open Space.   I think it won&#8217;t appeal to everyone, but I found it stimulating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/radar.oreilly.com\/\">O&#8217;Reilly Radar: Insight, analysis, and research about emerging technologies<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>O&#8217;Reilly puts on many influential unconferences &#8211; Foo and its variants &#8211; and this blog often has useful information about those conferences. It&#8217;s a great read on other topics, too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/barcamp.org\/\">BarCamp wiki<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>BarCamp is often described as the &#8220;open source&#8221; analogue of O&#8217;Reilly&#8217;s Foo Camp.  This wiki is the central organizing point for hundreds of BarCamps around the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/barcamp.org\/TorCamp\">Toronto BarCamp<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Toronto has an amazing unconference scene, and this wiki is ground zero.  When I first moved to the area, I kept meeting people who raved about the unconference culture, and the wiki reflects this level of interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ok-cancel.com\/archives\/article\/2006\/08\/unconferences-are-overrated.html\">OK\/Cancel: Unconferences are Overrated<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>A skeptical voice.  Most or all of the criticisms are addressed by better events; sounds like the writer may have attended a couple of poorly planned events.  Useful as a cautionary tale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottberkun.com\/blog\/2006\/how-to-run-a-great-unconference-session\/\">Scott Berkun: How to run a great unconference session<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Loads of excellent advice.  Very stimulating, with lots of suggestions for things to try, and patterns to avoid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/kaliyasblogs.net\/unconference\/?p=21\">unconference.net: How to DIY Unconference<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Useful tidbits, especially near the end.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/unconference.net\/\">unconference.net<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>A blog about unconferences from someone who organizes them professionally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/scripting.wordpress.com\/2006\/03\/05\/what-is-an-unconference\/\">Dave Winer: What is an unconference?<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Stimulating and a bit provocative. What exactly is it about unconferences that make them work?
